Mission Statement and Policy Statement

Pencaitland Parish Church exists with God's help:

  • to grow together as a family, worshipping and serving Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour
  • to encourage the use of the various gifts God has given to its members for the furtherance of His work in the parish and beyond
  • to demonstrate the unconditional love of Jesus in its care for its members and the wider community
  • to offer sensitive but confident encouragement to those who do not know Him to enter into a relationship with Jesus which will develop and grow
As a Church family we seek to grow warmer through fellowship, deeper through discipleship and stronger through worship.

The Protection of Children and Young People in the Church

The Church of Scotland has a deep concern for the wholeness and wellbeing of each individual. It seeks to safeguard the welfare of all people, regardless of age, who come into contact with the Church and its organisations. It is the responsibility of each individual within the fellowship of the Church to prevent the physical, sexual or emotional abuse of children and young people.  Those involved in youth ministry have received appropriate guidance and passed safeguarding checks.
